The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office most wanted person of the week is:
Gregorio Avendano of Caruthers. A probation violation warrant has been issued for child abuse and false imprisonment.
Deputies responded to a home in Caruthers after a report was made about a physical altercation. Gregorio Avendano became upset with a woman and shoved her as she held their small child. The child hit the ground and hurt their foot. Avendano pinned the woman to the ground and prevented her from using her cell phone to call for help. She was later able to make a 911 call. Deputies contacted Avendano and arrested him.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail and released four days later as part of a probation pre-trial supervision agreement. He has since violated that agreement.
Gregorio Avendano is 28 years old, 5’0”, 160 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair.
